The Professional Conduct & Ethics Code adopted by the Group includes the fundamental principles, rules and values determining the context of Company activities and defining everyday conduct and practises. All these rules and principles describe the conduct that the Groups expects from its people, as well as the way in which it carries out business activities with its clients, suppliers and other partners. The Group always does business in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations and internal policies per case. Nevertheless, since it acknowledges that the legal framework cannot predict all professional behaviours, it considers it important for its clients, suppliers, employees and other stakeholders to fully comprehend what it stands for and how it operates.
The Professional Conduct & Ethics Code of SIDMA STEEL S.A. has been based on the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, which aims at aligning businesses with the 10 globally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, working conditions, environment, and fight against corruption. In addition to the Company’s Professional Conduct & Ethics Code, the OECD Guidelines for companies with an international presence have been considered.
